Rubber processing oil is derived from oil or other types of fossil fuel.
Applications of Rubber Processing Oil:
• Tire manufacturing industries
• Hose production
• Conveyor belt fabrication
• Paints and coatings
• Sponge rubber creation
• Latex product manufacturing
• Rubber tile production
Types of Rubber Processing Oil:
Aromatic-based Rubber Processing Oil:
The presence of a double-bonded ring carbon structure characterizes this type. Aromatic extracts obtained from specific refineries and appropriately homogenized are used in blending batches for the production of tires, calendared and molded sheets, tread rubber, etc. This variant has a dark color and is considered ideal for the mentioned applications due to its color stability, solubility, and thermal stability.
Paraffinic-based Rubber Processing Oil:
This variant is known for its viscosity characteristics, which increase with the chain length. It is mainly used in Butyl rubbers.
Naphthenic-based Rubber Processing Oil:
Naphthenic Rubber Processing Oil, also known as cycloparaffins, consists of a series of hydrocarbons. It is distinguished by its unique color, thermal stability, and solubility, making it suitable for use in molded articles, slippers, LPG tubes, floor tiles, etc.
Rubber Processing Oil Grades:
Rubber Processing Oil is generally classified into two grades based on viscosity: Heavy and Light. Oils with a viscosity of 20 to 30 are categorized as light (low viscosity) grade, while those with a viscosity of 30 to 50 are classified as heavy (high viscosity) grade. The light grade is suitable for colder seasons and regions, while the heavy grade is ideal for hot climates and seasons.
Desirable Characteristics
This product possesses desirable characteristics that enhance the tensile properties of rubber, acting as a prominent filler. It also exhibits effective plasticizing qualities, improving the physical properties of vulcanization and reducing costs for finished rubber compounds.
Packaging Choices
This product has two packaging choices: flexi tanks and reused drums.
